Meet Camelia Petrus

Senior Consultant Business Development

  • Certified Assessor and Trainer in Emotional Intelligence in Leadership and Workplace Behaviour, member of OPRA Psychology Group Wellington


There are six key competences to be developed and efficiently utilised in leadership: Self-awareness, Awareness of Others, Authenticity, Emotional Reasoning, Self-Management and Inspiring Performance.

Camelia Petrus uses scientifically proved tools and methods to:

  • Measure how well the individual demonstrates leadership behaviour. Their behaviour is rated by their manager, peers, direct reports and others with whom the individual interacts daily. The report, based on the 360 (or 180) Emotional Intelligence in Leadership Survey, provides accurate and valid insights;
  • Training needs are based on the 360 (or 180) Emotional Intelligence in Leadership Survey Feedback Report;
  • Design and deliver leadership training programs.

Workplace Behaviour

  • Measure - The Emotionally Intelligent Workplace Behaviour surveys measure how well team members demonstrate emotionally intelligent workplace behaviours in comparison to others (industry benchmarks). The better they demonstrate the behaviours measured, the more effective their relationships and work performance is;
  • Training needs are based on the Workplace Emotional Climate, survey results 360 (or 180) Emotional Intelligence in Workplace Survey Feedback Report.
  • Design and deliver workplace behaviour training programs tailored to the organisation’s needs

Camelia graduated from Massey University Auckland in 2005 with a PGDip in Psychology majoring in I/O (work) psychology. She joined the team in 2016 where she leads the Business Development team. 

As a Senior Consultant she looks closely at the business and at the people leading it and its teams. She guides them towards new, more relevant and meaningful ways to grow their business and their relationships or to solve business challenges. 

Her favourite leisure activities include outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and learning/discovering/exploring new things, and places.
