We are looking for a full-time junior accountant to join a well-established CA firm who currently employ a great team of 15 people and who place value on their clients' and also has a strong commitment to their employees.

Located in Parnell, our firm offers Tax and Compliance, Auditing and Assurance and Strategic Business Development Services to our clients.

  • Prepare annual financial statements and tax returns
  • Manage timely compliance work for GST/FBT/PAYE
  • Manage the workflow for your portfolio of clients
  • Liaise with IRD and clients
  • Client Facing Consulting
  • Assist clients with MYOB and Xero
  • Assist with audits
  • Perform monthly accounting job
  • Prepare management reports

You offer the following knowledge, skills and attributes

  • 1-2 years' experience in a local CA firm
  • Fantastic written & verbal communication skills
  • Well versed with AO, MYOB, Xero & Banklink
  • Junior level audit experience
  • Developed Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to communicate in plain language complex accounting and business information to clients of various functional backgrounds and industries
  • A willingness to work with others
  • Proactive, forward-focused thinker with an ability to identify issues and ways to improve consistently
  • Fast learner
  • Flexibility and adaptability to industry and technology changes
  • Has high standards of efficiency and professionalism
  • Takes responsibility for own efficiency and results
  • Being accountable and able to work well independently
  • Has a caring and compassionate nature
  • A clean Ministry of Justice record and credit check is required for this position
  • Has New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa
